Either I'm an unpleasant critic or I just really seem to have a knack at finding problems in everything. Then again, nothing is perfect, but I just wanted to point out that the amount of problems I find in this rapidly progressive world are somewhat infinite. However, for the sake of your interest and my time, I'll briefly talk about the problems I see in my community, economy, work and the news.
The Phone-Zombie Apocalypse!
There is no bigger problem that I see in my community then the fact that more than half of the people aren't even engaged, or even looking ahead of them for that matter! Some people find that great, as they claim that, as a community, we can connect with other communities worldwide and, thus, be one large community over a shared network. Though, lets be honest with ourselves, us connecting with the world has stripped us from what is most important in this world: reality. We are too focused on improving our social lives online, constantly uploading Instagram pictures, and trying to participate in a repartee with people from all around the world, that we forget about the local community around us. It's like the more people try to connect with others around the world, the less they help out or engage in their local communities and, thus, will personally lack basic social interactionism and will negatively affect the community and its future as a whole.
Be like Marx
Let me just say for starters that I am not a Marxist, and no I'm not a pro-Communist. For those who didn't know, Karl Marx is a well known social theorist who wanted to abolish Capitalism as he saw that it created a division of social classes from economic inequalities. Marx, though, sought to expand money distribution across the hierarchy, because, theoretically speaking, if we do that and with the help of efficient technology, there would be no need to work. Life would be a bliss filled with endless time spent on leisure and fun activities. Now wouldn't you want that? Albeit, it is of everybody's interest to do nothing, some people cannot help but to excel and to look superior. Thus, the problem I see in this community, the problem of capitalism and uneven disparity in cash distribution, will be a battle that can never be won thanks to the greedy upper class... or will it?
If you want something done "right" then do it yourself
I work at a pizzeria and get paid minimum wage, while also dealing with the stress of impatient and choleric customers and that constant hunger from making delicious pizza. So, where should I begin to describe my issues with this. Lets start with the international policy of how 'the customer is always right'. It's that kind of saying that gives the customer a certain feeling of power and obligation to nag on you every minute or so on the status of their pizza. It's like they are indirectly telling me that they paid for this pizza so it better be worth the money. When, in reality, they paid for this pizza because they were too lazy/'busy' to do it themselves.
It's Cliche Because It's True
Is the media fabricating information or are they trying to over-emphasize certain situations so that we forget about others. This is the most discussed topic when talking about the news nowadays and, even though I like to be that out-of-the-box kind of guy, I can't argue against its validity. Frankly, I don't give a Kardashian as to which celebrity got into rehab or who is the cutest celebrity couple out there, and if they are really in a mess, I don't think celebrities really want us to know. I also think some news stations are biased against certain minorities *cough*Fox News*cough*, while some are getting bribes to be put down because they are not afraid of showing the truth. Of course I'm talking about international news stations; I don't really have much to say about Good Morning America.
